Gentelman's wager on the NBA Draft

I would like to solicit the feedback of my esteemed contributors.

A colleague from work and I entered into a friendly wager this afternoon regarding whether all three standouts from Florida (Brewer, Horford, and Noah) will be selected before or after Jeff Green is drafted tomorrow evening.

I said that there's no way ALL three Florida players would go before Jeff Green; my colleague disagreed.

I feel pretty confident with my stance.

Please weigh in with your thoughts.

No way. Jeff is going to go 5th, 6th, or 7th. I don't see him dropping any lower. I think the Chinese big man, along with Oden and Durant all go ahead of him. I don't see all of the Florida guys slipping in at 4, 5, and 6. Is anyone even projecting Al Thornton as a lottery pick?

Scratch that--Thornton wasn't part of the bet.

Not a chance. I think Green goes before Noah and Brewer.

Nice site guys. I'm with you on the wager, and after reading this article, I'd say Dick Jerardi from Philly.com is too.

I didn't see anybody mention that article yet, and it definitely seems appropriate for this site. The guy says Jeff Green should go #3 in the draft, putting him ahead of the entire Florida crew. Keep up the good work.

IPB, I'd share your stance. I'd wager that Green puts up more impressive NBA stats that any of the Florida guys. To that end, although popular draft wisdom seems be showng Green in the 10-15 range, I think he's the biggest sleeper pick and will go top 5-7.
