Every Sunday night CBS SportsLine writer Gary Parrish ranks his best 26 teams. This week the Hoyas made it back to the 26 spot (what Parrish refers to as the "and one" position).
I think Parrish's one liner about the Hoyas gets it just about perfect. He says: "Suddenly the Hoyas are playing like they're supposed to be playing." I couldn't have put it better myself.
Bring on Nova!
PS - The best thing about going to the game tonight will be avoiding all of the clips about Nova's '85 upset of the Hoyas on ESPN. It was over a decade ago...could be please move on?

I love that picture of Jeff. I was waiting for the right post to put it on the blog. AP has us at 26 too. I think that's about right. The polls just aren't that important. Right now we have a very strong RPI and a good record. A win today and we are positioned will for the tourney. Just looking ahead, after Pitt we play Rutgers, Seton Hall, DePaul, Cinci, St. John's and Louisville. Those are all gams that we should win. Assuming a win tonight and a loss to Pitt, we'd be at 8-1, and only have to win 3 or 4 out of our remaining 7 to get a pretty high seed and a bye in the BET. Of course, if we choke tonight, all bets are off.... Go Hoyas! Beat Nova!!!
