The coach said that he was as not optimistic about building an on-campus arena, saying that an upgraded practice facility is more feasible.

This is something that we should absolutely not give up on. We have too many games in a given year that do not warrant the MCI Center. Based on ticket sales, I'll concede that maybe 2/3rds of our home games should be there but the rest should be on a 7,000 person stadium on campus. That way we sell everything out and always have a good atmosphere. It will also allow for more flexibility in scheduling and give us more leverage in negotiation w/ the Verizon Center for ticket revenue.
