On-campus arena

This is something that the IPB and I discussed at length after the WVU game. It sparked similar discussion on the message board.

This is just another prime example of Georgetown's misplaced priorities. It boggles my mind that we're building this monstrous multi-sport facility for a series of sports that generate no revenue and exposure for the University while placing the basketball stadium/program on the back burner. To say that the money and enthusiasm for this kind of project are not there is just plain disingenous. Fact is that Georgetown hasn't tried and will never know if the funds can be easily raised to renovate McDonough unless it tries. DeGioia's leadership leaves a lot to be desired at this point.

Putting aside my tirade, I realize that it does no good to just complain. Hopefully something can be done.
