Today's Hoya has an article about the recent ground-breaking ceremony for the new business school building, which is being built where the baseball field used to be.
According to the article, actual construction is still a little way off, as the Univesity is still procurring the necessary permits.
Still, it seems like things are getting closer to becoming a physical reality with this latest edition to "west campus."

I saw that article. This is a very positive development. Although it stuck me as a bit bizarre to break ground when they will truly not break ground until all the proper permits are secured. It seems clear that Georgetown probably thought they would have the necessary permits in place by the time of the "groundbreaking" and had already scheduled this ceremony and invited the main contributors etc and did not want to reschedule for logistical and PR reasons.
