Georgetown guard Jeremiah Rivers was as excited as anyone when the Boston Celtics landed Kevin Garnett earlier in the week. Rivers’ father is Celtics coach Doc Rivers. Jeremiah also said that his little brother, 15-year-old Austin, is the real deal. "He’s 6-foot-2 and can shoot lights out. He’s kind of like Austin Freeman."

Below is a portion of a piece about Celtic and former Kentucky standout Rajon Rondo that Jackie MacMullan published in today's Boston Globe:
"One day last spring, I was waiting to do a postpractice interview with Pierce, who was receiving treatment in the training room. There were only two players left in the gym: Rondo and Doc Rivers's eighth-grade son, Austin. Rondo, his shirt off, had assistant coach Kevin Eastman feed him the ball for 100 jumpers. With nobody guarding him, Rondo hit 52 of them. Minutes later, Doc's son duplicated the drill -- only he knocked down 70."
Sound like Austin can shoot!!!!!
